Magnesium plays a crucial role in regulating calcium concentrations within marine ecosystems. A decline in magnesium levels can complicate efforts to boost calcium concentrations. In marine systems, the rapid interaction between calcium and carbonates can often lead to a phenomenon known as a “snow storm,” where precipitation occurs upon the introduction of calcium or alkaline buffers. To maintain a stable aquatic environment, it is recommended to keep magnesium concentrations at 1,320 mg/L (or 1,320 ppm), which aligns with natural seawater levels.

Usage Instructions:

Before utilizing the supplement, it’s vital to shake the bottle well due to potential settling. Begin by testing the magnesium levels within your marine system. Once you have your readings, apply the MICROBELIFT/Magnesium Supplement at a dosage of 1 mL per gallon of your aquarium or reef's total capacity daily. This will help adjust the magnesium level to fall between 1,250 and 1,350 ppm, effectively increasing the concentration by approximately 19 ppm each day as part of your regular maintenance routine.

If you are not regularly testing, it is advisable to administer 2 capfuls (equivalent to 10 mL) per 50 gallons (or 189 L) of water on a weekly basis for all marine systems.
